Les gorges de l'Ardèche
The 30 km long gorge was dug like a canyon by the Ardèche river through a calcareous plateau approx. 300 m high. The Gorges de l'Ardèche is one of the protected landscapes of France (Grands Sites de France). The arch bridge "Pont d’Arc" is grandiose spanning 59 meters and is located 34 meters above the Ardèche river. In warm weather you can swim in the river or paddle by kayak or canoe down the Ardèche. There are also numerous caves, hiking trails and climbing opportunities to discover in the area.

Mont Ventoux
The mystical giant of Provence is known for the Tour de France cycling. When the weather is good, you can see not only the Mediterranean from the summit, but also the highest peaks of the Alps and Pyrenees.

Saou
A cold beer under the trees in the wonderful garden of the "Brasserie Markus" in Saou is pure relaxation after a bike tour in the region. The pretty, Provencal village of Saou is surrounded by rocks and lavender fields. The forest of Saou is a nature reserve and one of the most beautiful forests in the Drôme. It is also a paradise for hikers, riders and climbers and hosts the Crown Prince's hostel, which looks like the Palace of Versailles, but much smaller which can be seen in the middle of the forest.

Provençal markets
The largest Provençal market takes place every Thursday morning in Nyons. You can stroll through the stalls for hours, watch the hustle and bustle with a coffee or taste local olives, fruits or sausages.

Le Chateau de Grignan
The castle of Grignan, the largest Renaissance palace in south-eastern France is definitely worth a visit. The 11th century castle, built on a rock towers over the medieval village in the heart of the Drôme Provençale. A tour of the castle's rooms and halls will allow you to encounter the past lives of the Adhémar family and the Marquise de Sévigné, who shaped Grignan history.

Cassis
We have succumbed to the charm of the old fishing village of Cassis on the Calanque coast. A pretty harbor located along a turquoise sea with steep cliffs, a medieval fortress and a breathtaking panorama - that is Cassis. Here we ate some of the best moules et frites. The Calanques located between Cassis and Marseille
consist of narrow rocky bays, which are deeply cut into the limestone cliffs like fjords and always impress visitors with their stunning views.
